An AC combiner box combines the outputs of multiple string inverters onto a common busbar, allowing a single outgoing cable to connect to the ACDB, LT panel, or inverter transformer. Each inverter input is provided with an individual MCB or MCCB for circuit protection, while the combined output is equipped with a main breaker. A Type 2 AC Surge Protection Device (SPD) can also be provided to help protect the system from switching transients and lightning-induced surges.
Neo Hi Tech Power manufactures AC combiner boxes for 415 V and 800 V AC string-inverter solar plants, available in robust IP65 CRCA or polyester enclosures. The boxes can be configured according to project requirements and are suitable for rooftop, ground-mounted, and utility-scale solar power applications.
